Duty List
- A 24-hour Control Room is operational at the District Collector’s Office under the District Disaster Management Authority.
- A District Action Plan has been prepared under the District Disaster Management framework.
- A total of 300 “Disaster Friends” (trained volunteers) have been trained in Amravati district.
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) have been developed for flood situations, public gatherings, and terrorist attacks in the district.
- A District Search and Rescue Team has been formed to handle natural and human-made disasters.
- A District Disaster Management Training Center has been established within the premises of State Reserve Police Force Group No. 9, Amravati.
- Disaster management training is provided in Amravati district under the School Safety Program, Village Program, and for government employees, college students, NCC, and NSS cadets.
- Large-scale public awareness programs are conducted regarding do’s and don’ts in disaster management, with the assistance of NDRF Pune, SDRF Nagpur, and DDRF Amravati.
- The District Search and Rescue Team consists of a total of 11 personnel.
- A new rescue vehicle has been purchased for the District Search and Rescue Team.
